Paris and the New York Times

When looking for good restaurants, events, among other things to do in Paris, I have often looked at the New York Times. They have a bunch of articles, restaurant, hotel and other travel information about Paris including and article on Quirky Spots the Locals Love But Don't Reveal.

This website provides some interesting shopping and hotel lists for paris. Its a subtle modern site. Not bad!

Craig's List

Now Craig's List exists also for Paris. Craig's List is a website that lists classifieds in English and originates (I believe) from San Francisco. Several people use this site in order to find jobs and housing among various other classifieds.

Guides de Charme

I always use the Guides de Charme to find a nice place to stay when travelling around the country. I prefer to stay in chambre d'hotes which is the French bed and breakfast. Often times the prices are more interesting, the environment is more charming and the experience is more rewarding. One very nice bed and breakfast I once stayed at is the Ferme des Belugues.

FUSAC magazine

The magazine FUSAC is very popular magazine for anglophones looking for jobs, apartments and various other services. It is basically an english speakers classified ads magazine. For apartments it can often have places that are more expensive than others, however, I find it is good for short term rentals in Paris. This magazine is free and can usually found at English bookstores in Paris including Brentanos and WH Smith.
