The Musée Quai de Branly is a new museum designed by Jean Nouvel located in the 7th arrondisement. Unlike most museums in Paris, this one is open on Tuesdays. The permanent collection consists of several artifacts from around the world. This museum also has a nice restaurant called Les Ombres.

Closed since 2000, the Orangerie Museum has finally reopened this year. This museum is known for its impressionist art including Monet's, Les Nympheas. The Orangerie Museum is located in the Tuilleries garden which makes the museum visit all the more pleasant.

Sitting in Columbus Cafe in Paris in the 11th Arrondisement next to the metro Ledru Rollin. After ordering a coffee, I go upstairs and notice quite a few people with their laptops. This cafe offers free WIFI internet and even has plugs to charge your computer. Almost as good as Point Ephemere, but not quite!! Definitely better than Starbucks which offers an expensive paying WIFI internet connection!

The Prix Photo du Jeu de paume 2006 is taking place and is open to the public to vote. The La Gallerie National du Jeu de Paume is a museum located in the Jardin des Tuileries, near the Place de la Concorde.

Craig's List

Now Craig's List exists also for Paris. Craig's List is a website that lists classifieds in English and originates (I believe) from San Francisco. Several people use this site in order to find jobs and housing among various other classifieds.
